Economizer Introduction
Boiler economizer is part of the heating area of boiler, to heat the feed water into saturated water inside the flue ducting, due to its absorption of low temperature flue gas heat, the economizer reduces the exhaust temperature of flue gas, save the energy, improve the efficiency, so called as economizer. Economizer steel tube type is without pressure limit, can be used as a boiling type, generally made by the outer diameter of 32 ~ 51 mm carbon steel tube.Sometimes in tubes with fins and fin, to improve the heat transfer effect. Boiler economizer is used for recovery of waste heat from boiler.
Boiler economizer is a device that is designed to increase the operating efficiency of a boiler, cutting down on its operational costs over the lifetime of the boiler.
Although the savings on any given day may be relatively small, the impact over time can be significant; some boilers are designed with economizers built in, while in other cases, an economizer can be fitted on after the act.
The boiler economizer acts as a waste heat recovery device, ensuring that this heat does not go unused.
Instead, the heat is used to essentially preheat the water, so that less heat is required to bring the water to a temperature high enough to make steam.

Heat Pipe
Principle of heat pipe
Typical gravity -type heat pipe is as above. First, draw out the air of the sealed tube to vacuum. Then fill some working fluid to the tube. The working fluid is heated at the bottom. It evaporates when it absorbs heat. For the sake of pressure difference, it rises up to the top of tube. It condenses when meets the cold tube wall, and it releases the latent heat at the same time. The condensed liquid drops down to the hot side for gravity. It rises again when heated. So the heat is transferred from one side to another side continuously.
Characteristics of heat pipe
High thermal conductivity
Heat transfer coefficient of cold side and hot side can be strengthened by spiral fins. This overcomes the weakness of the low heat transfer coefficient of gas.
The speed of heat transfer coefficient of the heat pipe is of several times of a copper stick of same size.
Because of the hot side and cold size are all in one tube, the temperature drop is very small, the speed of heat transfer is very high.
